Blists Hill has lots of iron chain, preserved from the Victorian times or made more recently we’re not sure, but by all accounts making chain was a big deal in the Black Country.

About 40 miles south in Cradley they made the chains for the Titanic and according to the Black Country Museum’s website, there were 6500 people involved with the chain making industry in 1911!

1911 must’ve been a good year, because that’s when Bradford City won the FA Cup.
