Timothy is not a fan of the hot summer weather, and only really tolerates it if the air conditioning is on. So come summer, he needs a decent trim.
With this weekend’s temperatures approaching 30 degrees, at the start of the week we thought we’d better book an appointment with his groomer. When they were fully booked for the next two weeks, though, we thought we’d better take matters into our own hands.
No blood, but plenty of butchery later, Timothy was heavily… pruned. It wasn’t pretty, but he was certainly a lot of hair lighter. Not half an hour later, the lady at the grooming salon phoned back: someone cancelled and there was an appointment on Thursday morning!
These photos show Timothy post-salon, rescued very well by the nice lady at Pets At Home’s Groom Room in Greenford. She said that we “shouldn’t give up the day job… and stay away from the scissors: dog grooming is not for you”.
Not only does Timothy LOOK younger, he’s also FEELING younger! He’s been bouncing around the place with his new trim coat.
