Gates at the entrance to Canterbury city wall walk

These gates are at the entrance to part of the Canterbury city wall walk.  It looks from the photo that the fence is long and that the two gates are the only way into the park behind – but in fact the fence is only as wide as the camera shot: there’s nothing either side, so nobody walks through the gates: everyone just walks past them.

It all looks new, but there’s no obvious point to it.  Maybe it was all constructed to be a good photo opportunity for hanging dogs.
